I've had this idea for months and hope others will like it, for sure you Ben, wink, wink!. Ok, here it is. Lately I've noticed that Fat Chuck & Chronestron's names are no longer on the High Score Board, and soon Bella Luna will be gone. I hate it that we won't be able to see their names listed any longer, so I had this idea to be able to always honor them and the great agents and agenices here. If we had a "HALL OF FAME ROOM," we could add the names of all agents that have reached No. 1 in rank, such as Fat Chuck, Bella Luna, Chronestron, jstkdn and Skyler Michael for reaching No. 1 in rank. Also, add the agencies that reached No. 1 in rank, ERF, Black Swan, Chicago, Sirens, Starsky and Hutch, and any others who I didn't mention. This would be a great way to honor all the greatest players and agencies for their accomplishments and forever showcase them where all new players for years to come can see who accomlished what. I feel this would add excitment and create a goal for everyone to work hard to achieve.

I also think the names of these great agents should also be added for their accomplishments, jojo227's for creating "Sleuth's Hint Help Line, "Reaper's Agency by Webmaster Delvin-that offers general information about the game, "Sleuths Chat by jstkdn," then "Sleuths Helper by Naomi Hong," as well as "John Hale's-"Man Behind Sleuth's Best Featured mysteries by Michael Bogen." There again adding the names of all Moderators would be neat, and most of all, Ben and Sunny Ringold, for creating this great game and all their involvment. Ok, I shared my idea, and if anyone has something to add, jump right in :)

Hi jojo...well I mentioned everyone that's added greatness to the game. My thoughts are to at least induct the agents and agencies that have reached No. 1 in rank overall, to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Anyway, hope Ben decides to add it. (DaRu begs, "Pretty please!)

I have no opinion on this, number 1 player deal. I have nothing against it, but I find enough value and entertainment in this community without seeing my name somewhere permanently etched in stone somewhere.

I am however against seeing my name in terms of sleuthcat. Between all versions it has taken at the most 20 hours to create and maintain (largely because of the issues in the application.) And I doubt that the website creaters have spent more then that. It is bleak in comparison to the great amount of people that spent countless hours on this message board contributing, helping others, paying for other peoples subscriptions because they could not afford it, and the list goes on.

Personally, I think there are a great amount of people that have contributed to this community in a very positive way for almost a year or longer. Like yourself DaRu. And not having their name somewhere etched in stone somewhere with the other names, and others do..just feels wrong to me. There are many other names I can think of in terms of people who are not mods, have created websites, or ever reached number 1 status.

Being number 1 is a bunch of points. It says nothing about contributions to the community.

I agree - why have the website creaters....?

Though, I do like the idea of having in the rest.

What I would like more actually. is sleuth person of the month. Based on things like:
1. Snagging 15 treasure hunts for their own agency.
2. Someone who started a popular thread that will be on the board for months to come and entertain.
3. Someone who did something really nice for someone else. Like paying a subscribtion, or giving larger donation.
4. New people that jumped in to the community and liven up the message board. Like for instance Lady Emerald Devon.
5. Someone who organizes a bio quiz, like autumn springs.
6. Someone who makes it on the high score lists, over months of playing their fingers off.
6. Etc.

Etc.

Well I said I liked that more. But what I mean to say is to have that IN ADDITION TO YOUR IDEA better. I just see a lot of less then 6 month old detectives that really liven up this place, and that new influx will keep us alive.

Just the same old names being haled over and over. Is old news. It's not the compliments don't do something nice for my ego as does it for some other people i am sure. And they are appreciated....definitely keep them coming. :)
But the thing is, I probably spend less time on this board or playing the game, then a LOT of great and really nice people do right now. They deserve the hale and the praise right now on most days more then some other names that continuously get mentioned.

I think it's an excellent idean to also add, "Agent of the Month," because this includes all the newer players and honors their accomlishments. However, I also think we should honor the agents that were here during the beta testing, like Fat Chuck, and Bella Luna, etc. I think it's very important because when I first joined Sleuth and say Fat Chuck's experience points, I was VERY IMPRESSED. The first thing I asked Fat Chuck, as a newbie was, "How did you get so many exp. pts. I was so impressed that I wanted to accomplish what he did, regardless of how long it took. Not only was Fat Chuch No. 1 in rank, but he was always there on the message boards, helping newbies, & coming up with great ideas. Many a time he took time to answer my private popups & not once complained. I just don't want to see his name slip away & not be remembered a year or two down the way. To me agents like Bella Luna, Skyler M. & you jsktkdn, didn't just achieve a lot of exp. pt's but you all contributed to the game by being on the message boards, & in anyway possible, and yes You JSTKDN are deserving to have your name etched in stone, or in lights here. I'm proud of all of you, and to all of those that reach No. 1 in rank, deserve to have their name added. This is just my opinion, and I hope you see it as I do. Again, I don't see why not have both, "Hall of Fame, and "Agent of the Month?" This would be a way to honor all who deserves being honored.

Good grief, every time I post a reply I find a bunch of mis-spelled words...shoot. Guess I'll have to copy and paste again, right...jstkdn?

I'm terribly sorry. A "Hall of Fame" kind of thing was sort of my idea...I've been really busy with other things I haven't been able to get around to it. Obviously I'd really like to get back onto it but with the schedule I have right now it's not an option seeing as how school comes first..If someone would like to take over with what little I've been able to do just Pm me or give me an msn and we'll talk^^

Hi James. Thanks for letting me know. I actually checked back through all the messages and found your thread, dated 2005-07-09/09-35:18, where you mentioned creating some type of Hall of Fame. Now I know why I have had it on my mind all of these months, is because of your thread, but I had forgotten it was mentioned before..lol. I humbly apoligise and didn't mean to take anything away from you whatsoever. That's not my style. I'm so sorry you've had to be away and not able to finish it. Again forgive me, and hope we'll have a "Hall of Fame," in the near future. God bless.
