There are always lots of suggestions about the game flying around, to the point where I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a new section of the message board just for suggestions?

In which case, it could be called "Suggestion Box?" ; )

But it might not be the best idea....things work pretty well as they are, I think.

What I have observed is that most ideas get kicked around pretty well here in sleuth talk, with different permutations and ramifications threshed out. Good ideas get implemented or get dragged up again after a while when they haven't been implemented and people still hanker after them -- or suggested over again by someone new.

I think all of that is a productive process.

Personally, when I REALLY want to make a suggestion that I think Ben will eventually read, I post it on the thread in Game Announcements where he asks for input, things we think will make the game more fun."

Anyway, anyone with suggestions, or suggestions about suggestions, feel free to post here. OR if you start a new thread about it, please post it with a specific title!

OK, it's time to bump this thread. I believe it's the best thread to keep all of the suggestions in one place, and not flying around in different other threads. Let me transfer the ones I've seen so far:

-Moon Lighter suggests page numbers for the message boards instead of "NEXT" & "LAST PAGE" links (which take too much time, I agree)

-jojo227 wants a timestamp for each detective, with the timestamp saying when the particular detective last logged on.

Everyone, Moonshh's "Suggestion Box" is open for suggestions!

I like all Moonsh's suggestion especially the suggestion box suggestion.

I would also like to say a suggestion. I was hoping maybe on the message boards pay they had a thread finder so that if someone told you about a good thread you don't need to dig it up. like when you PM a detective it says dective name______
DaRu mentioned her thread in this thread, Hall of Fame Room, and you might want to look for it and to save the hassle it would be handy to have a thread finder.

Yes, Big Sherlock, but many people have suggested a "message board search engine." I think P0RN0 made a thread about it. Anyway, I am happy you are making suggestions. Keep it up, and maybe Ben might use one or two. ;)

I really like the idea of a failed case going to another agency. Expecially if many of these cases were sent to Pandora's Directive. O:)

I have posted this idea couple of times, but i'm afraid that Ben was so unlucky that he missed it, and i would like to know what do you think about it...

That would be an extra help for everyone if Shady could ask for favors. As a reward he could lower the price of removing the F.A...
let's say there's function which is copying the experience points into dollars to pay
cash=f(experience);
after we make a favor for shady it could look like
cash=(1/2)*f(experience)
i know that the cash can be dependent on other information but it was a simply example...

Maybe it's been brought up before but I'm wondering if there is any way,on the Agency message boards, where the Directors can save things that they want the others to see to the top without having to keep bumping it up. Like in my agency I have a thread that welcomes new people in,with the policies on it,along with other threads I want them to read. Would it be too difficult to have it where Directors can leave them at the top at all times and not have it be pushed down to the bottom when we make new threads? Sometimes it gets to be alot having to bump up all the time, especially when detectives join,then leave and you have to keep recruiting.

Hope this made sense or I didn't complicate it. I'm notorious for doing that hehe ;)

I agree with the brewer. Many sites have what is called "pinned topics" that never need to be bumped up. I think that would be a good idea but it should be limited to directors.
