There are always lots of suggestions about the game flying around, to the point where I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a new section of the message board just for suggestions?

In which case, it could be called "Suggestion Box?" ; )

But it might not be the best idea....things work pretty well as they are, I think.

What I have observed is that most ideas get kicked around pretty well here in sleuth talk, with different permutations and ramifications threshed out. Good ideas get implemented or get dragged up again after a while when they haven't been implemented and people still hanker after them -- or suggested over again by someone new.

I think all of that is a productive process.

Personally, when I REALLY want to make a suggestion that I think Ben will eventually read, I post it on the thread in Game Announcements where he asks for input, things we think will make the game more fun."

Anyway, anyone with suggestions, or suggestions about suggestions, feel free to post here. OR if you start a new thread about it, please post it with a specific title!

As you mention cases quit, Andy... I would like to suggest that maybe we could get the solution to the ones we quit.... for that burning curiousity. It would certainly help if we at least saw who the killer was, so we'd know if we were on the right track but chickened out or if we really should have quit.

Rora, you're idea is very ingenious. I've always wondered who the killer was when I accepted quitting the case.

Me too. You find out if you get a false accusation so why not if ye quit.

I can see it if you get a false accusation, telling who the killer is, but I dont want to know who the killer is, if i choose to quit the case. If we choose to quit, we shouldnt have it basically handed to us on a silver platter who the killer is because what would be the incentive to keep going with the case? If you want to know who it is, finish it....if you dont, you will never know, the way it should be.

In real life, a detective wouldn't ever find out who the killer is, if he quit....and it should stay that way in the game as well. It is more challenging and realistic. To know the killer even when quitting a case, is too game-ish to me. So, I say, please keep it how it is right now. :)

Or.......what if when you quit, you get embarrassed by another sleuth? As in a message something like, "You told your client Barbarba that you were very sorry, but it appeared to be an unsolvable case. She went across town, to your nefarious rivals at Acme Detective agency and hired them with the money she was saving to pay you. An hour later, you got a call from Fred Acme, lording it over you because you couldn't figure out it was X."

Then, it could be logical to hear the answer, but also be suitably damaging to your detective's pride to make it more realistic...

*giggles* Yeah, that would be funny if another agency got your quit case! *Loves the idea*

OK, it's time to bump this thread. I believe it's the best thread to keep all of the suggestions in one place, and not flying around in different other threads. Let me transfer the ones I've seen so far:

-Moon Lighter suggests page numbers for the message boards instead of "NEXT" & "LAST PAGE" links (which take too much time, I agree)

-jojo227 wants a timestamp for each detective, with the timestamp saying when the particular detective last logged on.

Everyone, Moonshh's "Suggestion Box" is open for suggestions!

I like all Moonsh's suggestion especially the suggestion box suggestion.

I would also like to say a suggestion. I was hoping maybe on the message boards pay they had a thread finder so that if someone told you about a good thread you don't need to dig it up. like when you PM a detective it says dective name______
DaRu mentioned her thread in this thread, Hall of Fame Room, and you might want to look for it and to save the hassle it would be handy to have a thread finder.

Yes, Big Sherlock, but many people have suggested a "message board search engine." I think P0RN0 made a thread about it. Anyway, I am happy you are making suggestions. Keep it up, and maybe Ben might use one or two. ;)
