Paying members?
And freeloaders like me :)
Because I looked at the game info in the city hall.
Active: 11397 accounts
Then I looked at online people and I counted 26.
That's like a huge difference!

Good question. I suspect a lot of folks stumble on the site, sign up a detective, try the game, and stumble back off to try other things. They would show as an active account for the next 30 days, even if they never logged on again. And some probably start several detectives as they get the hang of it - so those extras hang around for 30 days. But I haven't seen more than about 50 signed on at one time usually. Other folks probably have other thoughts on this.

Dogberta is right. I am also not to sure when someone moves to active to inactive, well retired is obvious. Some people also sometimes play a few games. And then there is someone that doesn't play, but does frequent the msg board. :)
Game info says:
Active: 11206
InActive: 91801
Retired: 10847
There are 51 agencies.
