For the cheerfully pessimistic detective!

1. Your client did it.

2. Buying Advanced Thread Analysis means that all threads immediately disappear from the crime scene.

3. The question you need answered most is the one the witness clams up on.

I'm sure more experienced players can add to the list. Care to have a go?

Grrr...Elka, you stole my spot as Philosopher Marshall...
I'm very possessive of such things.

Unfortunately Murphy's dead. However, his tradition has been continued in Advanced Murphology books, with laws including:

If Murphy's Law can go wrong, it will.

And the ultimate pessimism:
Schnatterly's Law
If anything can't go wrong, it will.

It's so encouraging.

You use your "judge of character" skill, it tells you to try and make her bend the rules. You try to bend the rules. Doesn't work. You try everything else and she still clams up. Then you bribe her $350 and it turns out, "No, I don't know anything about this case."
Really makes me angry.

I just started a new case.
Difficulty: Intermediate

On the crime scene I found a footprint (Footprint Analisys did not work). FOUR of the suspects gave the shoemaker as their alibi. After the very first question he clammed up and Sweet Talking didn't work. On top of that Research cleared my client (she had no ailibi).

You get blurred and lost and dissapointed when you first time playing Intermediate because you realise it's really not as easy as Easy.

Or is it just me?

You marked your prime suspect, hints suggested her, WE saw her, you were as eager as a hunting fox to accuse her so that you'll get a contact with the barber, the rest doesn't seems to answer anymore questions, and your heart feels light as you already know the answer, you click on your suspect, she's dead. You turn off the PC in agony, you cursed all around, You go straight to bed.

Agree?,

Investigators are boogeymen. People get so stressed out easily.

You asked the shoe maker about abilis, and he clammed up later on. Cancelling out the ppl with alibis, you proceeded to try your luck in matching the footprint with the others w/o alibis, about 3 of them. You tried all the skills, and bribing him, with lost of about $350.

DUN DUN DUN DUN~!!!

None of them matched..

The shoe maker better hope that I don't become insane, or I would go after him. MUAHAHAHAHA~.

You are just about to solve the last part of the trilogy that you have been eagerely waiting on for weeks when a power failure happens. You wait several days in agony and in the dark wondering what happened while the electric company marks your house as the last to work on. In your dreams you plunge into the world of sleuth, and end up as every murdered character in the trilogy. You experience every single one of their final moments. When the electricity is finally restored, you discover that the slueth site has crashed and a permanent farewell message has been posted by Ben, who has decided to take all the cash he earned with him to his new home located in a dead zone in the Arctic. Sleuth will forever torment you and the demons that now possess your mind will lead to your confinement for the rest of your miserable life in an insane asylum.

*Curls up into a ball rocking back and forth with thumb in mouth, twitching and trembling occasionally, at the thought of Sleuth ending*

not sure what # this is but, you finally buy research and the suspect it eliminates dies right after you get back from city hall.
