For the cheerfully pessimistic detective!

1. Your client did it.

2. Buying Advanced Thread Analysis means that all threads immediately disappear from the crime scene.

3. The question you need answered most is the one the witness clams up on.

I'm sure more experienced players can add to the list. Care to have a go?

Your client won't talk, you use lockpicking, and of course it is who they suspect, not their alibi...

First off, my two contacts are The Fortune Teller, and Shoe Maker." Now, I open a case and find all the crime scene evidence is four threads. Then I check and find all suspects, with fake alibis used the Tailor for their alibi..lol. I ask the Tailor about the first suspect and the Tailor clams up on me. I then try "Bending the Rule," at which time I have to bribe the Tailor with $350 for the answer, but the Tailor takes my money and still clams up on me. On top of all of this, while I'm asking suspects "Who had Motive to Kill," most of them clam up on the second question. So, even though I'm able to narrow it down and find the guilty suspect, then I can't accuse because I wasn't able to find out their motive by the suspects that clammed up early on. Wow, now this is a complicated case..hehe, but keeps it interesting.

If you get two favours for the same townsperson one day, they'll crop up in a treasure hunt the next day.

or a 3rd favor in a row from that not needed favor!

Having an agency burn around 20 favors looking for either one of two favors, and still nada...

The amount of money you spend bribing people is directionally proportional to the liklihood your client is guilty (ie, the more you spend, the less likely you are to get any back)
