For the cheerfully pessimistic detective!

1. Your client did it.

2. Buying Advanced Thread Analysis means that all threads immediately disappear from the crime scene.

3. The question you need answered most is the one the witness clams up on.

I'm sure more experienced players can add to the list. Care to have a go?

This one is dedicated to my good friend Mr. Flaps...

You're on an AV hunt (in Dheli) and only need one more hint as to the Villians Hideout. Spend three grueling days solving AI cases only to get the same two hints. Then when you finally get that last hint you're one case short of moving to the next city.

Yup been there too my ole friend....

* Sits back and pours a stiff one from portable bar* Cheers ole chap

Unsubscribed so far (broke for a month then I get my first paycheck, wheee) and 3 out of 4 cases had the client turn up as the guilty party. If it happens in my 4th case too, well, I hope Murphy goes bother someone else tomorrow.

RAAARGH! Does getting 3 different handwritings on the CS count as a 'bad Murphy day'?

You click on Accuse Suspect instead of Ask for Alibi, and then Yes [accuse suspect] instead of No, and you get a false accusation and have to pay Shady. (It was late...)

[Quote from Secret Squirrel in this same thread]

Been there done that. Sleeping while you're playing Sleuth is a deadly mistake. :) - and it was my 2nd FA after carrying around one FA for months - and after I paid Shady, I got another FA within just a few days in the exact same way!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. :s

I think that's another Murphy's law right there...FA's like to hang out in groups of two. Every single time I've gotten one, I've gotten another pretty soon after.

Stupid peer pressure!

Whenever you're hoping to get a specific PE contact, you need to play for at least a week just to get a favor for that contact - and even if you are then able to solve the case, they won't become your contact.

50% of the time you can pick a suspect's lock, it's your client, and of those times, 99 % of the time you're going to get their suspect list - which you already know - rather than their alibi. :s

You are having a hard time solving cases in shanghai during a villain hunt. 6 of the 8 cases you manage to solve have the same clue. The other 2 clues are also the same.
