After about 400 days with sleuthing, i have all skills availible in the game (necesarry and not so necesarry skills). So here i sit with 214 unspent skill points - AND I WANT TO USE THEM. Cant we trade unspent skillpoints in money or something..............

PS, I thought being able to do this would incourage the new players to stick around for the long haul. Every added bonus makes it exciting. Ok, I promise this is it....lol.

I like the Shady idea and the travel idea for ways to use unspent skill points.

I love the idea of a pilot's license, as Thaddeus suggested. And Moonshh's white glove idea is swell as well.

Using skill points to pay of Shady seems like a bad idea to me. From what I can tell he has a sliding scale to make it more expensive for you to clear your record.

I do like the idea of either making super expensive skills or making special items that you can only get by trading skill points.

Maybe even making the unbuyable skills buyable, just at an extraordinary amount of skill points. Maybe even up to 500 or 1000 points.

Possibally even add a skill where you can use skill points during an investigation to eliminate a suspect. Make it expensive, why not, but then at least there is an ongoing use for the points after you have a full set of skills.

Nax, I am confused. How does the sliding scale which makes it more expensive in sleuth dollars to pay off Shady relate to an argument against using skill points?

The way I understand the suggestion wasn't to switch to using only skill points to pay off Shady, but rather to make the option available as well.

That way, very experienced detectives who might have plenty of skill points left over after they have ALL the skills, who are then facing an incredibly high price with Shady, would have some options.

Just clarifying my vision of hope for the future, in case it wasn't clear before...

*pulls foot out of mouth*

I was a little tired when I was writing that. I can see the point for using the skill points for paying off Shady, and it would mean that there is an ongoing use for skill points.

The problem I see with being able to use skill points to buy a glove or pilot's licence is that when you have them, what do you do with your skill points then?

There has to be a use for skill points, I totally agree with that. Maybe Shady could buy and sell skill points, I have seen that some people have loads of points and next to no money and vice versa. I see that as a quick viable option for the use of points.

I still like the idea of being able to use them to eliminate a suspect. Make it expensive, like 50 points or something, so that people will only use that option when it is totally necessary to solve the case they are working on.

I am still for new skills/items that points can be used for, I just see this problem popping up again in the future if there is no ongoing use for skill points.
