Finding a guilty suspect can be a very expensive endeavor, always pray that your contact has the necessary info. :)

Another way to get around it easily is by getting the underworld connections skill.
But truth be told, I felt that skill was not valuable enough to get, until I got other faction skills. And faction skills in general are not a priority purchase for a newbie.

I agree, jstkdn. You don't know how many times my NY contact, the Fortune Teller, has persuaded the runaway to return. :D And the newbies will learn to treasure skill points when their experience is even as high as mine is. I solve about 20 cases per day, and I'll be lucky if I get one skill point per day.

I was just wondering about that one, Luniar (sorry, off-thread) - is there any formula or known pattern that says what you have to do to get skill points when you're a bit more experienced? It's driving me crazy!

I don't know if there is a pattern in all honesty, just that the skill points come slower and slower. I can't remember, how fast they actually came, when I was still acquiring skills. Also the new features of the game, with the new faction skills that got introduced earlier this year.....I already had more spare skill points then I could handle.
I guess only someone can tell how fast they come, who is working on his or her last few skills. I really have no idea if that would be someone with less or more then a million skill points.

I would actually be interested to know at how many experience points you have obtained all skills approximately.

I still dont have all the skills I wanted and they come very very slow. So I guess milion exp is not the mark.

It takes about 50,000 experience points for me to get a skill point anymore....
