I saw some of my favorit people chatting here so I thought I'd say HELLO EVERYONE, and BYE until later.

hahaha...how wierd...i guess my style of writing is not welcomed here...on a lighter note...have you guys ever sms someone? well...people (maybenot in your country) intentionally misspell so as to save space in order to write more (since there is a limited amount of characters that you can write) and they are also usually in a rush and want their messages to get through fast.it is so widely used that i thought it would be the same here.when you chat live online...people write that way all the time.Sorry if it had been offensive to you guys...Do loosen up and be flexible...Just because something is different doesn't make it any inferior...

no, it's not inferior, but not everyone USES the shorthand internet-speak. I had no idea what was being said in the message, it too real EFFORT to figure out. We're ust saying that a lot of people here on this site aren't teenagers talking to eachother. Many of us are older and never truely learned all of the shorthand techniques that people use in messenger/text-message speak

Ok. Here is my opinion. This is NOT an inferior way of speaking. I, infact, use it myself. I, however, do respect that some people do not know or understand how to read/write it. Therefore, I usually do not use it unless with my close friends. I also agree that it reduces the amount of characters. BUT some people have NO CLUE what it means. LOL, BRB, G2G/GTG, ect. are some phrases that some people have never heard or have never learned their meaning.

Some people on sleuth are not teens anymore. Some are, but the majority is not.

I, personally, would like to read writing like we are writing right now. I LOVE punctuation. I LOVE capitalization. I LOVE correct spelling. But sometimes I enjoy this type of short-handed language.

So, long story short, both are good, but they have their pros and cons.

Hey Jojo, can you enlighten an old head and tell me what G2G/GTG means? I'm not up on the internet lingo.
