awwww... don't be so hard on the gal... she's just trying to write shorthand. You've never seen the ad? "ifucnrdths,ucnrtinshrthnd.".

CeeCeenyc, no I've never seen that ad, and I support Chronestrian's suggestion.

In fact, I have posted up another message replying to her questions somewhere else. It's downright irritating to have to decipher some code, detective or no detective.

If Ben wanted us to decipher coded messages, he would have put them in the ridiculously hard cases.

Chronestrian, congrats on the hunt.

I must agree that I, too, find AOL-speak or that sort of shorthand incredibly annoying. Please write in complete and proper English. It really doesn't take that much more time, and it shows a much higher level of care for the people who are reading you (and not incidentally makes you appear more intelligent).

You all crack me up. I love you D.L, one of my favorite ppl so this is not a chastise towards you. How do you all know she might not be able to speak English Well. Maybe that was easier for her. :)~ But seriously Lyra if you do speak it well, Take the advice. Happy Hunting. I must say I love the Names I see on the Detectives. So Interesting. Peace Love and Chicken Grease. Rachiell

Yeah, I understand your point of view, Vin. But don't you see, we are actually APPEALING to her intellect. If we thought she was beyond hope, we wouldn't have wasted precious case-solving time trying to get her to alter her style of writing.

Trust me when I say, this is the final time I am responding to any message with weird, INTENTIONAL mispellings. The next time it occurs, you will be glad to know, Vin, it will be the ICE QuEEn bringing with her the ICe Age of Silence.
