no, it's not inferior, but not everyone USES the shorthand internet-speak. I had no idea what was being said in the message, it too real EFFORT to figure out. We're ust saying that a lot of people here on this site aren't teenagers talking to eachother. Many of us are older and never truely learned all of the shorthand techniques that people use in messenger/text-message speak

Ok. Here is my opinion. This is NOT an inferior way of speaking. I, infact, use it myself. I, however, do respect that some people do not know or understand how to read/write it. Therefore, I usually do not use it unless with my close friends. I also agree that it reduces the amount of characters. BUT some people have NO CLUE what it means. LOL, BRB, G2G/GTG, ect. are some phrases that some people have never heard or have never learned their meaning.
Some people on sleuth are not teens anymore. Some are, but the majority is not.
I, personally, would like to read writing like we are writing right now. I LOVE punctuation. I LOVE capitalization. I LOVE correct spelling. But sometimes I enjoy this type of short-handed language.
So, long story short, both are good, but they have their pros and cons.
