I have 3 paid accounts and about every third favor on EVERY ONE of my accounts is for the Fortune Teller! This has been going on for over a week now!! There must be something that needs to be tweeked in London??? I could see this happening for maybe 12 favors, but this is REALLY just gotten stupid!

I keep a notebook of all of my cases and so know exactly the frequency.

I ALWAYS work the favors. Regardless, I will get a couple others in between, the BAM!! The Fortune Teller again!

HELP!!! Please can someone check the favor generator in London?? I ask a different townie each time about a favor (which should not matter.) :(

The Hooded Claw says that he, too, is getting the Concierge (like TnT) with unseemly frequency!

Also, take a look at how ALL of the agencies in London are stalled-out on this Treasure Hunt. This is a bit TOO weird. :(

Okay, this is really just stupid now. :(

Here is a list of Heather Ceana's favors that she has gotten AND successfully solved! (They go backward in time and are only for London.) As you will see, the Tea Merchant has been an even more frequently drawn favor lately! :(

Yeah you always seem to get the same favours a lot for a few days in a row, it seems.

This is particularly annoying during treasure hunts. Which is why, I guess, you do get a lot of repeats. To make progressing through the hunts a bit harder.

OUtside of hunts, it doesn't really matter. The money or equipment you win is not related to who you do a favour for.

Umm, I have NEVER seen that the Hunts are a factor in the assigning of favors

AND

This has been happening even when there are no hunts.

Are you saying that the coding tries to make it harder to get certain favors during Treasure Hunts?

Because, I've hit 3 favors in a ROW during a Treasure Hunt. I think I would rather hear from Ben on this.

Is there a special check that tries to make it harder to get certain favors during Treasure Hunts?

Fact:
It happens in London, but did not happen in NY.
It is not just limited to one account.
It is NOT only during Treasure Hunts.

Ramses, I am not sure if you are responding to my message, as I can't tell by your answer who you are actually answering. :)

I said, it is annoying during treasure hunts to keep getting the same favour, and that that makes the treasure hunt harder. I didn't say they are a factor in the assignment of the favour. They could be, they could not be, I have no clue.

Other things seem to show up clumps too - like witnesses names (Adelaide is popular right now). Or parts of case names. I agree w/jstkdn that its only annoying when its favors in a hunt context - but I always figured it happened more or less equally to every agency so it evened out in the long run.

I got Hellish as a case name part four times in a row. Since I was solving Almost Impossible cases flawlessly--if I do say so myself--I thought it was a case name part only used in Almost Impossible cases. I mean, "Hellish". Hellishly hard case? *shrug* I may be reading too much into it. But I don't think that Beginner cases are going to have Hellish in the name. ^^;

Yeah, you're right that particular adjective is only used for Almosts :)

They could be. They could not be??

Sorry, but that makes no sense. :(

They might be. They might not be? Is that what you mean? Could not means it is impossible, although could means possible. :P

Sorry if I misunderstood your response, but the PM you sent me said that the same favors show-up over and over again in THs. Also, a teammate of mine understood the same thing from your response. LOL

What I have heard from more experienced players (2 million+ xp) is that they understand that favors are supposed to ALWAYS be random. One person wrote me to say that he had had FIVE needed favors in a row during a TH once.

Now, take another look at those lists. How can ALL three accounts keep getting the same two people over and over again.

It is statistically unlikely. Also, I reported this as a bug, with a link to this post. Yesterday afternoon, things started rolling again in London. ALL of the agencies doing that TH had been stalled-out for well over 24 hours (according to our Treasure Recovery Officer.) ;)

Dogberta: You are soooo right! I get Adelaide, Irwin, Yama, or such. ;) What REALLY freaked me out, was when I had two favors back-to-back on two of my accounts for the Waiter with the first name given being Jonas AND had 1 note with 2 footprints! :P Note was right in one and left in the other, FPs were both slim in one and both heavy in the other. LMAO

I thought maybe I had dreamed the first one. :)
