I adore Forensic Files. I watch alot of those real life forensic shows. I also love I Detective, because they ask questions about collecting evidence or how to proceed with an investigation, and let the audience guess, to see how they do.

Yeah that show is cool too. Another good one is Master Minds. It's a television show that tells you about some of the smarter criminals and their crimes.

I know forensics files, it is aired here on discovery crime night. They also do medical detectives, and the real CSI. I never heard of Master Minds.
I love those type of shows.
We also have this Dutch show, made by an ex crime reporter. He starts his own long term investigations. Because he is not government, he even gets tips from criminals, and he doesn't have to disclose the informant. People feel saver to go to him. He also is merciless on the goverment, including the police and legal system. When they dropped the ball. He already tackled a lot of stuff, not only got the guilty convicted, but also people that were in jail innocent for big crimes. Of course it is not a fast resolution show in 45 minutes. But the outcomes are tremendous, he does months of research. Goes beyond do, and even can do.
He is on a lot of death lists of criminals as well.
He even once got a computer delivered. It was from a known DA just stuck his computer with the trash. With all sorts of sensitive info...he even left passwords of his emailbox in there.

I'm thinking about subscribing. If I do, what is a good agency to go for?

There are a lot of good agencies. Just depends as to what you are looking for. Check out the recruit thread, usually people will give you a few hints there like laid back, or hard core every day players.
