I know I've posted before about the hostile faces for the suspects, but this is different. Just recently today, I did three cases. Well, five people overall, I failed to persuade them. Problem is, I was counting on them. And... the percentages were as follows: 94, 93, 94, 97, 98. Is anyone else having this problem? Because, this seems beyond the works of a "bad day." Because of these failures, I failed a favor case. So I have to relinquish all of my money to the Shady Character. Yeah. Instead of being $3200 richer, or an increase in stats, I'm $17000 in the hole. Well, I shouldn't call it "in the hole"; I almost have it. *sigh* I failed a Really Hard favor case. Meanwhile, I'm normally closing Incredibly Hard cases rather quickly. Call this a rant if you wish, but it isn't to me. I'd say "it just isn't my day", but it is. I'm finally Father Inquisitor of the DAB.

Amount of experience doesn't affect how well judge of character works.

But Luniar I really wouldn't use it for more a path to follow (tough vs. charming).

Also I would recommend focusing on being tough or charming. The advanced tough skills (along with pugilism) will help with the clamming problem.

Right on the experience I was thinking in terms of the items you attain which raise your skills abilities.
I also had my share of almost had to be guilty suspects including some with PE+WE against a suspect who was innocent, which is different from HAD TO BE(I have had it happen a few times and actually quit the first time then realized everyone else had alibi or didn't match with evidence)

Cicero, I'm focusing on Charm. I use the Judge of Character to know what my chances are. That's just the kind of person I am. I want to know the level of the playing field before I thrust myself into a bad situation. It also helps me prioritize things. Although I don't excel in Toughness, I believe the Judge of Character can put a lot of confidence in me. It's not as useful for my detective as it is as to me.
