I have narrowed my list down to two suspects. The first lied about his alibi but there was no conlusive evidence. The second didn't have an alibi and wrote a note. What should I do?

The one who has a fake/none alibi and a piece of evidence is the guilty one. If you checked handwriting, and that person who has the fake/none alibi was said to be his writing...that is who u want to accuse.

Going by gut feeling can get you a false accusation. If you are not sure who the guilty one is, and you don't have physical evidence or witnesses proving who the guilty one is, quit the case. Don't guess!

Definitely! You dont want to get too many false accusations as getting three will mean you have to retire the detective! And paying the shady character to clear your record can be an expensive business :(
