I am shamelessly going to post this, so I then shamelessly can link to it from the moderators picks.

Hoping that we get more people subbing. For the simple reason, this game exists because people subscribe.

(Disclaimer: Mods, or even anyone else...make money of this game. It is volunteer run. Subscription money is used to pay for hardware and software to run this game.)

If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of agencies and subscribing, check out the Recruiting board.

I would susbsribe but I dont have all that money. After all I am only runnning on an allowance... Until I can get a job next year.
But what I would like to know is:
As Sleuth continues and increases it's budget will non-subscribed members get the chance to join detective agencies?

No, only subscribed members will receive the benefit of joining an agency, as this is the main recruting reason to become subscribed.

Actually, I feel that 3 cases per day is already taking up quite alot of my time. Sometimes there are favour cases to work on. If I have the whole day, I would subscribe. I wonder how long did you all take to solve all the 10 cases??

Reality Check: This game is a pleasant diversion and a wonderful monument to detective fiction but less complex than Clue. I know of 3D MMORPG's with lower subscription rates. I'm glad those of you with more expendable income are keeping this game going but I'll just have to be satisfied with 3 lonely cases a day.

I agree with you Hertz that the cases take up quite alot of time but the game is easily addictive so when you're finished. You'll want to play some more.

Absolutely right Carl, the first week-end I found this game I subscribed not one, not two, but THREE agents. The third one never gets played because I remembered that I have a job and 2 kids and NO time for the two that are in agencies and HAVE to be played. The addiction gets ahold of you, but I don't mind paying subs if it helps keep the game going.
By no means should anyone put themselves in the poor house to subscribe, but if you can and enjoy the game, you should.

Somedays I do finish all 10, others I do not. When hunting, I tend to do easier cases, which take less time. However, when I work on Almost Impossible cases, they take longer. I use it as a nice break between classes and studying. However, I only have one detective.

Yep takes quite some time to do all 10 cases and the 3 or 4 favors you get. Fortunately it costs cases to travel..that saves some time .... :D
