I am shamelessly going to post this, so I then shamelessly can link to it from the moderators picks.

Hoping that we get more people subbing. For the simple reason, this game exists because people subscribe.

(Disclaimer: Mods, or even anyone else...make money of this game. It is volunteer run. Subscription money is used to pay for hardware and software to run this game.)

Would it not be possible to include ways for UK residents to pay, without the use of PayPal? I believe the cost for this game would be around £2.75 monthly, which I wouldn't mind paying.

yeah Yeti, you should be able to send a money order from the bank.

(so TOTALLY never thought I'd find myself typing that).

Anyways, that's what I do. Not as quick as paypal, but I think a lot of people do it that way, and it's normally received and processed in like a week or so.

I would do that, but I'm not capable of paying by USD, which I believe is the only method they'll accept?

Banks in the UK won't issue a US money order? I'm very, very surprised. Canadian banks do. Anyway, if that's the case, I'd send an email to admin to see what other options they may have.

I expect they probably would issue that. However, like I said before, I'm not capable of paying by USD.

I'd rather not go into that.

Well, you've convinced me! I'm subscribing for a year. This game is too much fun to only play 5 cases (with favors) a day. How do agencies work out exactly?

Way to take that plunge raceal2! Most of the details about agencies are on the first page of this thread sort of buried in a bunch of text, but have a closer look at the 4th, 5th and 6th posts by jstkdn -- she's pretty much summed it up. You can also have a look at this thread:

The only other thing I'd add is to think about what kind of agency you want to be in: very active or laid back? Interested in role play or not so much? Is treasure hunting important to you? Are you looking for a lot of team play or just a place to store gear and cases? These kind of questions should help you decide where you would like to be. With that in mind, have a look at the recruiting board and the agency directory (under city hall) and try to find a place that seems right for you -should give you something to do while your bouncing off the walls waiting for your sub to come through :)

Congrats!

Zoran, I am going to suggest that you direct that question to the people at torncity.

I'm planning to start subscribing, but have a question. Do I have to start a new detective when I change my status from unsubscribed to subscribed?

I would like to keep my original detective if possible.

Thanks!
