I am shamelessly going to post this, so I then shamelessly can link to it from the moderators picks.

Hoping that we get more people subbing. For the simple reason, this game exists because people subscribe.

(Disclaimer: Mods, or even anyone else...make money of this game. It is volunteer run. Subscription money is used to pay for hardware and software to run this game.)

I've written a feature mystery and let me tell you it's not easy so consider all options before trying to write one.

I've been playing this game for awhile now and am very interested in subscribing. I've been wanting to do this from day one so bad I can taste it!! I do have a few questions though.

1. Can we subscribe for more than 1 year? I want 3 years.

2. Are money orders acceptable? If not than I'll just send a check. Visa screwed up my credit card and sending a new one a few days. I'm just too impatient to wait.

3. If I have a lapse in time of playing. Like a few weeks or longer, will I get kicked off for inactivity? If yes: Would I have to resub? Life has dealt me some very rough times lately and I don't always get online.

4. And last but not least, about how long does it take once the check has been received to reap the benefits?

I appreciate any advice I could get. I really love this game and have been wanting to subscribe for so long. I feel that if I don't do it now, I never will. Thus missing out on all the fun the rest of you are having. Thank you.

Only Admin can answer the length (although I would guess it would not be a problem) and as to how long to activate it most people find it only takes a few days at the most when done through snail mail. Electronic payments are credited instantly.

For your lapse of time in playing that is not a problem. Your subscription continues to run, and you always have access to your detective.

If you join an agency (and you really should try that out when you sub, it makes the game much more fun) you should tell your teammates if you will be absent for a while. Some agencies have stricter policies about logging in how many times per week etc.

There is currently a contest going on in which you can win a 1 year subscription, 6 month sub, 3 or 1 month sub.

Check out the stickies on the gumshoe lounge message board.

Though sleuth may mean something different to a newbie then it does to a veteran. You all have just as much chance to win.

I'll do a rewrite of this one in the next weeks to come, considering the prices are old I believe, and the expansion coming up.

Syoke, PM the sleuth admin about this. You can find him in city hall, under game info.

I want to subscribe but I have a question. If I were to subscribe right now, (the 30th) for two months would I get 60 days of subscription time?

Yep, if you subscribed right now (the 30th) for 2 months, then you'd be subscribed until the 29th of October (if my calculations are correct) :)
