Changing skills?

Probably a very dumb question! Is it possible at all to swop a skill you have learned already for another skill of same skill points?

Nope! Skills, like diamonds, are forever. And the points come much more slowly as you get more experience. That's why you will see the more seasoned sleuths trying to steer the new folks toward the ones that are really useful (like research instead of safecracking).

Blondi - don't be discouraged. If you stick with the game, even the 'fluff' skills will eventually be very useful. I got judge of character "years" ago, and kicked myself. but now that I've worked up to Almost Impossible cases, its extremely valuable.
