I'm working on an update that will allow players to create agencies (teams) with other detectives. I want to try to make the game a little more community oriented and working towards common goals would be a way to do that.

My dilema is, if I make it too advantageous to be in an agency, then hard-core players will probably just create a bunch of detectives, make their own agency, and then dominate the agency rankings because it's easier for one person to coordinate their own actions, than it is for a bunch of strangers to do so.

So, here's my questions:

1. Would you bother joining an agency under any circumstances?

B. Would you join an agency if there was minimal in-game advantage to doing so?

III. Would you join if there were larger, agency wide goals to acheive, and compete with other agencies for?

Yahtzee. Should teammates be able to help each other on their individual cases, or should they only be able to work towards larger goals together?

Hmm?

1) Yes, I would, under certain circumstances.
2) Hmm...I might, if Í had some other reason for doing it...if it was fun and you got to do things you couldn't otherwise do.
3) Certainly!

I think there shouldn't be an advantage in individual cases. At least no more than a minimal one. Simply because that would force everyone into agencies if they were interested in doing well on the top detective lists etc. I think agencies should mostly have their own agency stuff to solve, and there could then be a separate list for top agencies.

Agencies would be fun, though!

1. Yes.
2. Yes, but the advantage shouldn't be too great.
3. Definately.
4. No, individual cases should remain individual cases, in my opinion.

Overall, agencies sound like a wonderful idea. Can't wait.

Tip: add agencies, and let detectives work with each other on agency cases. But balance that advantage out: skill points, fees and experience are divied up among the detectives working the case, and they still count against all the detectives' case limits. So if I get help with a tricky case, it'll cut my take in half, or a third.

Also here is my little tid bit on the idea of agencies. For the people assigned in a agency the case should be split (if you have 6 witnesses that need to be questioned and you have 3 detectives they should get 2 witnesses apeice and colaberate together on there findings) truly making it were the agency employes work as a team.

another idee (apart from agancies which is very cool) maybe let detectivies that work for the same bosses do a job for them together. it should be a bigger job and more benefit than the ones u do when u visit them daily. maybe even working against another group from a different boss?

Gotta go against like KAy on this one... what if everyone isn't online at the same time. I don't want to spend 3 days working on one case while I wait for other people in my agency to do their stuff. The cases should remain individual, in my humble opinion, but maybe not "hidden treasures" I don't really know the plans for those, but what if it's like mystery, but there's like 3 cases to solve to get the 'hidden trasure' and each detective can only do one. So at least 3 detectives have to do it, and they all have to get it right. I don't know, just an idear..... but yes, admin, the agencies seem totally cool, everyone's onboard. We just want to own some real estate.
