I was doing a favour for the shoemaker, and his only suspect gave me an alibi, and then clammed up. What a jerk. I was about to quit the case, when I decided to try plan b. I checked his alibi, it was false, so I accused him. Lo and behold, he did it. Huzzah, the grey umbrella is now mine!
Just thought I'd share my little victory.
(And yes, I know I should ask the motive question first.Whoops)

Yeah. Always ask motive first! I was told 10 million times by FAT CHUCK (may he rest in peace) <<<KNEELS>>> to ALWAYS ask motive first. If you have one person, no matter what, always ask motive. But hey, who cares, you still got your umbrella! :)

What I don't understand is how you actually got a motive to be able to accuse him...Or do favour suspects automatically have a motive?

The first favor suspect already has a motive. I guess the townsperson told you.

nah, in favours, it's usually the person the townsperson gives you to start with, but someone correct me if im wrong

So that's as a "yes" - the townsperson gives you the motive for the first person in favour cases ;)

Yes, Greyling, the person asking you to do the favour give you the motive of the first suspect.
