Creating new threads...

This is for those people that have seen some of their threads removed off the board, by several moderators.

You have not done anything wrong perse, but your introduction to this community I am sure you prefer to be good one, instead of annoying one. The thing is we have several newer detectives, whom are flooding our message boards. And all those people combined, annoy a lot of people. Not a single individual. Well unless you have created several detectives....

1. If you have no or little experience. Creating threads is not a good idea. This is a game site first.
2. If you create more threads then posts. Also not a good thing. It is a little sellfish.
3. If you create multiple threads in one day. Is also a bit much. Most people don't even create 1 thread a week.
4. The only way in which you know which threads are enjoyed by people, is if you have spent a little time in this community. Duplication or no value threads, or frowned up on.
5. Creating a lot of new threads. Post threads that are popular down the board, or threads from people others really like to see.
6. Post with a single detective on the message board. Everybody else does. It is very hard for us to get to know you, enjoy your company, or become friends with you....if you keep changing your name.
7. That new people create threads, is odd in itself. Please let us get to know you.

So my advise is. Play more games, create less threads.....come and say hi in some existing threads. Everybody is welcome in those, you'll see.

I hate for you to try to make friends, but unintentially make enemies. Some of us veterans have been posting in anger, have made fun of you, or ignored you. But I doubt few people directly spoke to you about it.

Welcome to this community. Join us, instead of asking us to join you. Once you are a bit more at home, there is plenty of chance to create new threads.

There are four sorts of men:
He who knows not and knows not that he knows not: he is a fool- shun him;

He who knows not and knows that he knows not: he is simple- teach him;

He who knows and knows not that he knows: he is asleep -wake him;

He who knows and knows that he knows: he is wise - follow him;

~Thomas Wright

(Thanks, Akano, for helping me find a way not to get moderated myself.) :)

Colonel Shanty, the "Where ya'll from?" thread, I believe, was the sort of thread you were lookign to create. It is one of the oldest on the site, at least to my knowledge. I've bumped it.

This is largely the reason for jstkdn's criticism of excessive posting. It gets these threads lost in the shuffle and they are the community's history.

Ben will do the "Welcome Wagon" thread . . . but doesn't he have a "Where ya'll from?" thread?? Sorry, but doesn't excessive posting make Moderators delete, delete, delete???? Am I right?

Why Colonel Shanty, my friend, I do believe you are becomming a bore. Now be a dear gentleman and drop the subject as I do believe I am suffering the vapors. How about a breath of fresh air?
