Oh the mystery of "The King of Pop!" The verdict is in & will be revealed at 4PM. Don't you know that Michael is nerveous, because his life is hanging in the balance. I know that I'm nerveous and it has nothing to do with me, except I've admired his talents, just not his life-style. I started this thread, thinking that some would like to share their feelings here about it. Oh well, the world shall soon know. As Texan just shared, this could be Micheal final walk in freedom, as he walks into the courthouse holding him umbrella. One thing about it, there won't be an umbrella needed in prison...ouch.

I had the displeasure of recently attending a sexual abuse trial through work and, like Jstkdn said, the defense barrister did a very good job of confusing the alleged victim. Any slight discrepency in testimony or earlier statements was seized upon - at one point over an apparent confusion about whether or not a light was on during a particular incident.

It is very disturbing to witness such cross-examination, and the trial was repeatedly delayed by the alleged victim breaking down. It was a similar case, though, in which there was no physical evidence as the alleged abuse took place years before. It basically came down to who the jury believed.

Yup, particularly in school I attended a lot of trials. One thing that always made my eyes roll, was the ever so popular defense lawyer words used in pretty much every trial "My client had such a rough childhood."

Personally...I feel that a grown man that doesn't see anything wrong with sleeping with boys/houseguest has some questionable psychological issues. To me it doesn't matter what was proven or disproven, it's the mindset of the person that can't see that this is not appropiate behavior. For Jackson to not have seen that this is a serious issue whether it was brought out into the open or not raises some serious questions with me. If Jackson has had a traumatic childhood then he needs to seek therapy, not the comfort of him sharing his bed with a child.

Don't take this wrong Mugsy but from the looks you must be a fan and to have to admit he has problems shows your stability

Huh. In all honesty, I find a black male with a hat, not automatically a fan or even immitating Michael Jackson. Nor would I assume the same with any other person. I mean, a hat is such a common accesory.

Since this is Sleuth, I would actually first assume that he found a picture looking most like a detective of himself.

In all honesty, I think you owe Mugsy an apology, and a huge one too.

LOL ichiban, my spouse has nearly the same hat, that he wears with his black and white pin stripped suit, along with his black & white spats (shoes), and white silk mandarin shirt...hehe. He gets teased that he looks like a gangster, and my sister went as far to say, teasingly that he looked like a pimp...eek! But, to me I think he looks really cool in it just like Mugsy does...lol. Hey, actually he's the King Pin of La Costra Nostra here at Sleuth!...hehe.

I was pretty upset about it that he got off. If that was one of us we would be in jail. I wish I had that kind of money to pay off people. I mean he is a good singer but not as a person.

Brown 44, it does seem the rich and famous gets better treatment. In some cases money is used to bribe judges, district attorneys and people and some Courts this happens which is horrible. It's not fair to give the rich and famous better treatment. For instance Martha Stewart, she was sentenced for a few months, which to me is only a slap on her wrist. And, if this had of been you or I, we'd get life! In Mich's case, I don't believe a bribe was paid to the 12 Jurors, nor the Judge or anyone for that fact. Some Jurors felt he was guilty, and if they judged the case by what they thought about him or felt, then the verdict would have been guilty. The Mom changed her story, kepts giving mean looks at the Jurors and snapping her fingers at them, so she blew it. Yes, being rich helps alot. It's ridicious how some people will do most anything for money, if free. Take "Fear Factor," they eat, drink awful stuff. I'd throwup everywhere...lol. Also, you couldn't get me to get in a box full of live snakes, crawling all over me. It wouldn't matter if they were all toothless, cause if one gummed me, I'd have a heart attack...lol. I am scared of anything that stings or bites...hehe. A million dollars couldn't bribe me...lol. Oh well, I got off the subject...lol. Sorry. Winks*
