hmm...When I've started a new case Lucy has move-and I've had to solve another Larry case. I'l double check but thats whats happened to me.
I think there should also be a bit more bonus for the newbies (and unsubscribed) when they finally get to Lucys. (At least that way there would be less "I paid $500 and this is IT!!!" messages in the boards)
All it would take it to put a couple items found inthe detective store (newbie items) at dirt dirt cheap prices.

The concern I have Shroud is that you are giving out false information that will undoublty cause evern more frustration and confusion than Lucy manages on her own.
You may be correct on the midnight disappearance. I've really never tried. However, Lucy moves her Caberet once you begin new case. Though it has been a while since I've bother with her, I believe the story line says she is constantly on the move, not that she moves daily.
Somewhere buried in the archives is a post from Ben or Sunny stating that it you do need to go look for Lucy as soon as you get the directions from Larry. While I attempted to find said post, I finally was overwhelmed. Here is a an old link though with a bit advice on the matter should you care to look.

*wonders if Ben will ever decide he had an excellent idea when he offered to put archive links up for detective's posts in their profiles...especially his own*

Not that I am an expert, like Shroud. But I am with CFM on this.
I really appreciate the help of newer members to this game. But I please ask to handle giving advise with caution. The thing is, if you haven't played 100s of games yet, collected most skills, and tried on different sets of clothes, and in this case visited Lucy during a few 100 treasure hunts. There is no way you can be sure if you are giving the right advise. There may be more to the game....then you haven't seen yet.
I think the best policy is to give advise. And when a veteran jumps in. To just trust their expertise.

I wasted more diplomacy and tact on responding to you, Shroud, than you actually warrant. I'm familiar with people who see things the way you do, and I'm never impressed.
I called for diplomacy in the way you spoke to a friend, and a player with over a million experience points and nearly a year's involvement.
Grow up.

The only thing you are missing out on, obnoxiousweed, is throwing away $500. Lucy is useless if you are in an agency hunting in New York. So, count your blessings. :)

I found larry, but he never asks for my money, not that I'd give it to him anyway, but I can't help feeling a little neglected.

He won't ask for your money unless you solve the case. Then, after the case is sucessfully solved, he'll ask you for $500 to tell you the directions to Lucy's.
