Does it affect me to quit cases other than losing the time and experience? To clarify: If i quit a case because it would affect my standing with factions will the number of cases i quit eventually force me into retirement?
thanks

Nope, there's no risk involved with quitting cases - it's the safe way out as opposed to getting a false. The only thing you'll lose out on is, like you said yourself, the experience, the money, and you'll need to do an extra case before you get your next favour, but that's it - oh, and then of course the pride thing, because your record will keep showing how many cases you've quit ;)

I wouldnt worry too much about the pride thing though. Its one thing to have loads of quit cases, but another to have two false accusations and then go crawling to Shady...

I totally agree with all of you... pride is crap, compared to 4 c-notes, you know what I'm saying?

I think making deliberate falss accs when you cant solve a case might be good if you like keeping a "perfect" history.

It all depends what the end game is like. If, as you play longer, you build up more $ than you need, who cares about the piddle that you pay shady?

I had thought that the amount increased as you got more experiened but if it stays at $400...

Think about it this way, there's two black marks in the game. One of them you can clear, the other stays forever. Why not make a false acc instead of quitting knowing that in the end, money is plentiful?

HAHA! Shroud, we'd love it if the amount would stay ar $400!!!

Right now, if I paid Shady, he's asking over $270,000. I know of detectives that would have to pay over a million. So, while it may seem worth it in the beginning, it gets worse...much worse.

Money isn't always plentiful! The more experience you have, the higher the money is to pay Shady!...and how well I know!! As fast as you get the money, it is gone just as quickly if you're not careful! I would rather have 100 quits then 2 falses any day! Ack!!! :)

Do cases repeat themselves if you quit? Like would you get the cases again?

The case are never the same. All the information is randomly generated from what I understand. So no two cases are the same. Technically, it is possible that eventually you could have 2 similar cases, however, without actually doing any math, the chance is less than you winning the lottery. :)

My god, Shroud. You aren't serious...about being experienced and needing more money. I'd say money becomes more important then ever.

See prices of Shady keep rising, but unfortunately the amount of money you make off an impossibly hard case remains the same. If you get a false, it takes you months of playing the game to get enough money to be safe for the next Shady visit.

Please Shroud, please be careful advising newbies. You are clearly off base again.
