No. I'm referring to John Milton's "Paradise Lost", It and Dante's "Divine Comedy" are largely responsible for the dramatization of the concept. Dante gave it structure while Milton gave it social heirarchy.

Here's my comment, and please no hate mail...hehe. Well, according to the bible, "King James Version", it says that no man sees eye to eye, and in another scripture, we should all work out our soul salvation with fear and trembling. It also states we're not to argue the scriptures. Discussing them is one thing, but to argue is not pleasing to God. Now, if we're born again, & have PEACE in our hearts, why open ourselves up to anything that would take away that peace or cause confusion. At II Tim, 2:15, it says to study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, but rightly divides the word of truth...and so on. Alot of religions or faiths believe they'll be the only ones to make Heaven, and all others excluded. I feel that people from every religion will make it, as along as they've a pure heart before God. There's a saying that I've heard which says: "It doesn't matter what name tag you wear, because that name tag is either going to blow off going up, or burn off going down. OK, with that said...I hope you all still love me. Bye for now.

PS: What I stated above was just a little food for thought, & actually got off the subject quite a bit, so sorry about that. Though I'm not Catholic, I respect the faith and find the subject interesting.

Did ya'll know that in most religions there is a common fasting? and yet... the public is against moral dieting and starvation- I find that peculiar...

Daniella, yes, I do believe in fasting. In my life time I have fasted many times. Sometimes for as long as one meal, and up to a maxium of 20 days. I've always tried to fast when I felt impressed of the Lord to do so. It is very dangerous to fast long periods of time without feeling led of the Lord. I've always tried to be obedient when I felt the need to fast. I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say moral dieting and starvation. But, I do believe that we live in a world that is diet crazy and yes, people literally starve themselves for the sole purpose of quote, "looking good".

For a very cynical view read Spike Milligans version of the Old Testament. He has a humourous way of pointing out the more inconsistant points in the old testament.

Thats neat you also read The Book of Mormon, Blaise Joshua. I think it really helps/clarifies the teachings that the zillion religions have taken a zillion ways.
I was wondering: Who translated the Jehovah Witness's Bible?
