actually this idea was brought up awhile back and as I said before, I don't think it is a good idea. It's better to keep it real. If a real detective quit a case, he wouldn't know who did it, and it wouldn't be handed to him on a silver platter, so to speak.
That is the challenge of it and the mystery of it, not knowing who it was because we quit. If we know we are going to have the answer even when we quit, then what is the motivation to even want to complete it?
This game is a realistic game, and if we were able to know the answer by quitting, it would take that away.
I like how it is right now.
Only my opinion ofcourse :)

I really do loathe to agree with Makensie but she's right of course. If a real detective quit a case he would not know who did it, UNLESS it was a well-publicized case and then all the newspapers would be identifying the SUSPECT for the detective only to eat his heart out because he let a good case go. Sort of like the City News.
