Some of us have interesting reasons to pick a detective name. What is yours?

jstkdn which some people don't realize right away stands for JuST KiDding! It is something I tend to say a lot in real life after a lot of sentences. A good friend of mine in the US had jstkdn as a license plate of her car, so I wasn't that inventive myself.

My previous other agent was PM, which stands for Project/Program Manager, my profession in real life.

My only detective that I currently play with is freelancermountaineer. Only because Freelancer was taken. Sidney Bristow in the Alias series uses two call signs freelancer and mountaineer.

I chose my name because my nicknames for many years have been "Schizo" "Psycho" and "You mad.."
In additon my orcish general was call "Da Madd" and at least two ADandD characters have earned the nickname "The Mad axeman" so I guess The Mad One was a logical choice.

I chose my name for a rather silly reason... well you know how in all the film nuir detective movies, there is a gorgeous woman with a name like... Gizelle Boudalenta. I just wanted a name similar to a film nuir private investagator.

Well, it's quite obvious why I picked Texan. Being from the State of Texas, I was looking for something simple and easy to remember, plus Houston Texan's is my favorite football team.

My agent's name is the title of a song I wrote (and subsequently the title of my cd), and it means 'time rider'. Slightly a difference from Chrononaut which is 'time traveller'. My other agent's name, Noeticist, roughly means 'thinker'. I was a linguist for the USAF in the '80s (yes, that means I'm old! lol), and words have always fascinated me. Ok, I'm done. :-)

I used to play another game where my name was redalong. After a while people started calling me reda. Seemed like the obvious choise for my detective name.

I will simply say that 227 stands for Feb 27 - My birthday.

jojo means yoyo in Dutch. To be sure of the correct spelling in English I actually looked it up on www.disctionary.com, and to see if I could find any clues. I had to laugh when I saw it, and with this could eliminate that you identify yourself with a yoyo.

This is what I found in the dictionary:

A toy consisting of a flattened spool wound with string that is spun down from and reeled up to the hand by motions of the wrist.

Informal. One that undergoes frequent abrupt shifts or reversals, as of opinion or emotion; a vacillator.

Slang. A stupid or objectionable person.
