When do hair, build and handedness start to come into play? They have all seemed irrelavent to my cases so far.

When you have the correct skills, you'll find that they come in handy.

Handedness comes into play when you're investigating a case that involves a Threatening Note, and have the skill Handwriting Analysis. You'll know who to rule out.

But then again, don't rely on just a single piece of evidence to accuse, especially with higher level cases.
