Please Dimitroulis, can you turn off the caps lock...?

As far as your contacts go....

Makensie is correct in that you do not have to be subscribed, and the the benefits of subscription are well worth it!

You randomly gain a contact by doing favors, and favors are randomly generated. Just clicking on a certain townie each time will not insure they become your contact.

You can only AVOID unwanted contacts by starting, then quitting the favors you do not want. Otherwise, it is all left to chance. You can not get a new favor until you either solve or quit the favor you currently have.

You get 2 contacts (per city if subbed). One will be a PE (Physical evidence) contact, such as the tailo or banker. The other will be a non PE contact, like the butcher or waitress.

I hope that helps.

1.What is the diffrence between PE and a non PE contact?

2.If i quit a case is good or bad for my detective?

A PE contact is one such as the tailor, barber, banker or shoe maker, who can identify an item of physical evidence found at the crime scene as belonging to a particular suspect. Having one of these contacts is particularly useful as it means that you can always rely on them, without them clamming up. in essence, it makes it easier to find out who the murderer is.
Secondly, quitting a case does go down on your permenant record but if you dont know who the murderer is, it means you dont have to guess. Guessing is definitely unadvisable, as it means you get a 'false accusation' on your record. Three of these and you have to retire. You can, however, get your false accusations cleared by visiting the Shady character at the back of the pub but this is expensive, especially at later stages in the game. Quitting cases is definitely better than guessing!
Oops, I seem to have rambled on a bit there, hope i helped.

1. PE = physical evidence contact like the barber (gives clue's about hairs), banker (gives clue's about handwriting) etc. Non PE= None physical evidence like the waitress, bartender etc. who will answer if someone has an alibi or not.
2. Quitting cases does not affect your detective at all. It is better to quit cases then falsely accuse. As with three false accusations your det retires.

I bet if there were loser statistics on how many cases quit, I would be a sure winner. At some point, if cases would show up that had no evidence with my contact.....I would quit it right away. :)

well jstkdn, im sure you've completed a few more cases than the average detective too! It hardly matters how many cases you quit! :D

If you quit all your favors trying to get one in particular, you will be cash strapped for sure, since you won't get the cool gear to sell.

If you want the priest, you don't have to quit PE favors (Barber, Banker, ShoeMaker, Tailor) because you will get one PE contact and one non-PE contact.
