I solved a case and the cut scene said my standing with La Cosa Nostra had improved.

But when I checked the standing, it was still the same as prior to my solving of the case. I wonder why...

The name of the case is "The Terrifying Puzzle of the Unnamed Shock".

Did you try to go to another page and then come back again to check your detective page? Maybe then your detective page would already have been updated.

Was the case maybe a favour? If you get one of those cut scenes during a favour, it doesn't affect the standings :)

It was definitely a non-favour. Anyway, it's a small matter (for now anyway). Which makes me wonder why I even bothered posting this message and wasting all youy precious time..

My main concern now is this:

I tried to subscribed but got error messages from PayPal. I'm using a DebitCard instead of a Credit CArd. Could this be the reason for the problem?

I tried applying for a PayPal acct using an email acct instead of a credit card. This too, was met with technical difficulties. They kept asking me to re-enter info that I'd already entered correctly the first time.

As you can probably deduce, I am pretty much disappointed by this unforeseen stalling.

Oh well. Enlighten me, anyone with a clue. Let's call this 'The Baffling Case of the Mystifying Subscription'.

IF you're asking about the subscription issue, yes it's cleared up. Just that one other thing we talked about after that...

But I'll get back to you on that one.
