How is "Go to the bank vault" useful

I have tried several times to go to the bank vault to see what can be obtained there...but i get the guard all the time...can someone tell me what is it there for?

The bank vault is for those who have the safe cracking skill, and are participating in treasure hunts. If you have that skill, you can skip a favor and go to the bank vault and nab the treasure. I have that skill but haven't used it yet. If I'm wrong about all this, correct me.
Anyways, hope I answered you question clearly jasus and hopefully I am correct or atleast half correct *sigh*

Yes, you can only participate in hunts if you are in an agency. And you can only be in an agency if you are subscribed. So, unless you are subscribed, it's really not usefull at all. :)

And the safecracking skill only allows you to skip the last favor - not any favor of your choice.
