I'm going to add a FAQ page that is shown to players when they first create a detective. I'd like it to be short and sweet, because otherwise I might as well just tell them to read the Help page. I'm thinking it should maybe have the top 10 questions or so that new players have.

Since you've all been new, I'd appreciate your input as to what those questions should be.

Thanks.

Why can't I get the barber and tailor as contacts?
Why can't I get the fortune teller and waiter as contacts?
What is a contact?
How do I get a contact?
Can I delete my contacts?

A lot of those questions really aren't applicable to Newbies. I'll try to fill out the main help page as well, to address some of them.

The Detective Licensing Exam is a neat idea. I'll have to consider it as a future addition. My one concern is that it would have to be writtin in a fun way, otherwise it could seem like a cumbersome hurdle for a new player.

Also, some of those questions would be fairly hard to explain to somebody who hasn't played through a single mystery.

Give them a tutorial mystery. For example:

Click here to talk to this suspect.

(They click)

Click here to find out their aliby.
Click here to find out if they know any other suspects or their motives.

It would really help. Just make like 3 suspects, and 1 piece of physical evidence. It would really help newbies. It would have helped me! :)

i like the tutorial mystery better than the quiz. it's more fun and pretty much solves the same thing.
