Logical Problem/Idea about favors.

I've had it happen once or twice, but when I go for a favor for so and so, when I talk to them during the course of the mystery they have no idea about the case.

It goes something like this.

I take the job from the bartender.

When I go to talk to the bartender and ask him if he's heard anything form the case, he replies with the standard "No I haven't heard anything."

This really makes no sense. Why would the person who told me about the case not know anything about it? I mean, the last thing they really could tell me id "I hope you solve it soon."

Well, he hasn't heard anything about the details...though you are right, it could be fixed.

I mean, I know he might not have heard any details.

But as I said, the favor-asker should care just a little more then everyone else.

I agree, surely they could be like a temporary contact for just that case. I mean, they're willing to give you items to solve the case. Logically, they should be willing to help out with it too.

Yes, it was really annoying when they clammed up and I had to persuade or ultimately bribe them.

See, your best friend had been killed, you wanted me to help you, but you weren't willing to answer my questions even though they should help me to find the murderer and put your friend's soul to rest.

What's wrong with these people? Perhaps they didn't really like their "best friends" after all.

This has been brought up before folks. On many occasions, it is Ben's opinion that to make the townie the favour is for like a contact for that case in particular would make the game too easy as it would add a third contact. I agree it would be logical the other way, but this is the way it is going to stay, and you do get used to it eventually.

That may be the case, but it lacks credibility. To compensate for this, couldn't the favours be made a little bit harder? I have no problems with working a little more to complete a favour. Anyone else agree?

I'm not for making the favors harder. Its already tough enough, since you can't use others contacts, etc. When doing a hunt, I don't want to have a difficult favor and take the chance of having to quit. lol It's tough enough already without being TOO tough, so I like how it is right now :)

Hmm... I agree it would make the game too easy for anyone who already has 2 contacts. But what about people who has one or no contact? Shouldn't they need some more help? Implementing it might be hard, however, contact number checking and all.

Okay, I guess I better get used to it then.
