More importantly: is it chicken or is it fish?

In Wisconsin, it can go either way. I am squarely a SODA person myself. Another one that gets me going is drinking fountain, water fountain or bubbler!

Hey cfm! Doesn't the term "fountain drink" work here?
Does that term makes sence elsewhere?

OK let me get this straight. Previously some folks said we call soda or pop, "Coke."
So basically if you want a fanta, you still order a coke? Or if someone offers me a coke, I may end up getting a sprite?
Huh?

nope...coke was generic on the west coast - as in, "let's stop and get a coke". less commonly, '...a soda', and never '...a pop'. When you ordered, though, 'coke' only refered to a cola drink.

Soda here in Bermuda.
We even go so far as to order a "CokeSoda"
and, for the record, it's pronouced "Coffee..."
or at least it should be.
