Daru,
I tried to drink it 1 time & couldn't because I hate black licorice. I have an aunt that makes it fairly often & loves it. Did you know it's an ingredient in root beer?

I LOVE sassafrass tea, hot or cold!! My husband makes homemade beer and wine and yes we do drink moonshine at parties although we buy it. The supplier is the trick there.

I've had homemade wine before. My friend brought it over, and all I know is, it tastes like grape juice only much stronger and was a complete mind eraser. I woke up the next day thinking "what happened AFTER the wine?" I remember everything up until that point :) My fiance` had to fill me in and thank goodness I didnt do anything embarrassing..I just did alot of laughing and talking too much, which Im quiet normally. :) It was good stuff!! (obviously since I drank alot of it)...but I think I will stick with my beer. haha

Hi all,

Definately soft drinks or fizzy drinks from my corner of the UK. Now someone metioned pepsi v coke. Cant stand pepsi would rather have the 'Happy Shopper'cheapo stuff if forced too. Current beverage (theres another word for it) is the lemon diet coke. Have tried the lime but agree its pretty bland.

Madam TBird, no wonder I liked sassyfrass, because I love Root Beer. I didn't know it was one of the ingredients. mrs.zane, I could just see my spouse and I making moonshine or wine. We'd be reported to the police and arrested for sure..hehe. Actually, we're not drinkers, however, years ago I had the flu and was told about a homemade remedy. Boil Southern Comfort, mixed with honey and lemon then drink a small amount, but rather than boil it, I elected to warm it a bit, then I drank the whole fifth of Southern Comfort. Talk about rubber knees, I couldn't walk, or talk...hehe. In fact, I passed out and was carried to bed. Since I had fever, several quilts were placed on me, which broke my fever. Well, to make a long story short, I wokeup free from flu, but I had one heck of a headache and one mean hangover..lol. I awoke vomiting and so sick all day long. I don't know which was worse, the flu, or hangover...hehe.

Texan says he use to drink Dr. Pepper and lemon heated, which was very good! I like juicing carrots, ginger root, celery, and one apple in it. Though this is off the subject of coke, it's great for your health. Since we're singers, and get laryngitis, we'd juice a whole pineapple, pealing and all, and add alot of fresh ginger root, then sip on that during the day. By the time we'd perform, our laryngitis was cured. I love juicing, and we're fixing to start doing it again. Also, taking barley green is great in addition to juicing. We never felt better back when we use to juice. I keep asking myself, why we stopped! Anyway, we're going to as soon as we can buy the ingredients, then I'll let you all know how I feel..lol. Ta ta.
