anyone remember ok soda? i don't think it ever expanded through all of the states, but here in colorado you could call this number: 1.800.IFEELOK and listen to testimonies of how people felt okay. ok soda was a nasty tasting drink. i guess that's why it didn't last very long.

Where I was born it's called, "pop", but in Texas it's "Soda". However, I'm like mrs. zane, I rarely drink it, unless a coke when eating a hamburger. I'm a 'FOLGER COFFEE GIRL', which I drink all day and leave cups all over the house..lol.

Is that the kind of coke, with the lemon already in it, Sunny? They call it lemon Coke here. And I find it yuck!

If you want to pull a nice trick on (at least) some Europeans. Give them root beer. I don't know what it is, all people I know (exception for myself) that try root beer......spit it out immediately, because they find it gross.
It is a taste that you need to have grown up with, to like it. I guess.
Kind of feeding someone dutch "drop" our version of black liqorice. The faces you get are priceless. I often throw this one, on unsuspecting visitors....try our number 1 candy. (which it is, it is the most eaten candy in NL.)

Has anyone tried drinking hot sassyfrass tea? We use to dig the roots up then boil it to drink. It taste a bit like "hornhound candy" >>( may be spelled wrong), & "root beer". I've never drank it cold so don't know about that.

Hey! I've had sassafrass tea!! A looong time ago. Going back to that West Virginia reference again! LOL! (I'm half hill-billy, so I can make these references!) My mom's from Morgantown. I remember having some vaguely. On a trip there with her. Just a taste of it. I'm thinking of bitter liquorice taste. I was young, like 5 or 6 at the time.
I think I would rather have the Coke with lemon and orange thing.
LOL!
