I never picked the research skill when I set up my detective, it has not come up again. How do I get it? and how many skill points dose it cost?

Research costs 12 or 13 skill points (I think). When you get the skill points needed , on your detective page, click on your skill point number, and a list of skills that you are able to get show up...Research can be found there.

oops, didnt mean to repeat the answer, I must've been in the middle of responding and didnt see it. cfm explained it better anyways lol :)
