Hmm - I realise that some people would be very happy about the recent development making faction ratings NOT change during favour cases - but I would vote for bringing it back!

Then you'd have to decide what you REALLY wanted - the favour, or the rating! (or the tasty goodness of getting a rating you WANT, plus a favour!)

Admittedly, I will almost always take the favour, over any ratings change - but life isn't MEANT to be easy!

I say, take the cutscene out of the favor. I don't want favors to mess with the faction standing, but it doesn't make sense to get the message that the factions care along with the message that they don't, in terms of the internal story logic of the game, I mean.

Either way suits me - my problem at the moment is, most of my faction rating changes occur in my favour cases and not in the normal cases, so I don't get the chance to increase my faction standings more than doing the "little job". It's very frustrating.

Either allow faction ratings to change in favours, or only allow faction ratings changes during normal cases. That way I might have a chance of getting some!!!

Phileas, I'd be quite happy for faction ratings to be changed by favour cases. It would add even more spice to the game! But I also understand why some people don't want this.

I'm happy to go with the majority - just please, let me get some faction cases that will actually affect my standing!!!! :-)

If you want to increase # of cases that involve faction points, try playing lower levels - they seem to show up in almost every case on the lowest levels.
