Hmm - I realise that some people would be very happy about the recent development making faction ratings NOT change during favour cases - but I would vote for bringing it back!

Then you'd have to decide what you REALLY wanted - the favour, or the rating! (or the tasty goodness of getting a rating you WANT, plus a favour!)

Admittedly, I will almost always take the favour, over any ratings change - but life isn't MEANT to be easy!

Phileas, the comment on the faction favors screen is the only change to the game. Factions have not effected the game, even before.

Reference Ben's comments recently in another thread....halfway down the page I believe.

I meant to say that factions did not affect favors....

Ah - well, I understood you....

So I was wrong... can we change it now?

Might be a good issue for a poll.

Should favors effect faction ratings?

I am glad that favors don't affect faction ratings. I like being able to receive my cases, especially when I need money, without worrying about losing faction support. I would vote against it.

I would say, either make the favor effect the faction rating, or take the favor out of the "equation" or "program" for random faction favors. Most of my faction favors come up when I'm doing a favor, so I lose out on a chance to improve my standing most of the time. I don't know why other than the favors being counted as a case in the randomness of the program.

It would simplify things, as Morley says, to take the faction cutscene out of the favor cases. Then no one will wonder whether it affects their standing and just what that effect might be...

And I'm with cfm! If the cutscene is going to be there, then a message regarding the lack of effect should be there, but "affected" is the word to use, please......yes, I submitted a typo report on this already, in order to attempt to effect change.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that

I noticed it too, but trusted that others in the grop would report it.

I vote for leaving it as it is. Favors should not affect faction ratings. If its possible you can just make this cut scene unavailable in favors.
