I started a case for Octivia Vrooman and I asked the person what people she suspected. She named one and I asked him his alibi. After that I went to go check it out and i come back and he's dead! now im stuck where I am because my other suspect has a solid alibi. What do I do? If i go to the shops they still say give the hints but I cant ask anyone! What do I do now?

Sometimes you get unlucky early on and get stuck. It happens more often if you are playing on a case that's too hard for your experince level, but you could get unlucky on any level. You'll just have to quit the case and start a new one.

so much for there is always a way to find out who the murderer is. Isnt there supposed to be something to prevent that? I mean before ive never had to quit a case before.

Heh. I believe the quote is:

All mysteries are solvable, in fact there are always two ways to solve any single mystery, but player skill and a small amount of luck are necessary to nab the guilty suspect.

This would be that small amount of luck. Seriously, when you start a mystery with very few visible suspects, it's a good idea to first ask the "do you kno0w anybody with a motive" question. That way, you will most likely open up additional investigation routes before your only choice dies or clams up.
