I was just wondering-if you join a detective agency, can you still do the random cases by yourself?
And also, if you do a case for the agency for money (if you get money, I don't know...) does the agency get the money, or you?

If you join an agency, you can still do the cases completely on your own (actually now that we have more than one city, you have to do the cases without the possibility of help from others in the agency sometimes).
About the money - if you complete a treasure hunt for an agency, the agency gets the reward, but I have heard of agency directors taking the reward money out of the safe and giving the money to the agents.

Sorry, right answer, wrong profile. I actually know more about the subject then the profile I answered with lets on.
I just use a second detective to start the day with so I make less false accusations with this detective. The age differance in the detectives is simply exlained - I recently had to start over with the unsubscribed me.

Hi Bananas.

Its a good idea to check the agency policies before signing on - I suspect there will be differences.

At Overdogs, the Agency traditionally keeps the reward money from hunts, and lets agents keep their own money they earn from cases and favors. If they need more, we give it to them. If they feel like contributing to the agency, they can - but at this point its not necessary. When we were starting, we had cash flow problems and needed to charge rent. That's probably true at some newer agencies.

As far as working cases on your own, Double/Andy is right. We let agents do their own thing, unless some of us want to cooperate on the highest level difficulty cases. Its voluntary.

Its nice to coordinate efforts on hunts, but now that they hop from one city to another (and there is little advantage or opportunity to coordinate/save favors), its not critical to strategy.

Maybe other directors will chime in here and say how their agencies work.

At Sirens we don't ask for money but like Overdogs, the agency keeps the reward from hunts. However, we help out agents if needed. For example, help paying Shady. Really, one agent might win the last part of the hunt, but the whole agency usually has a hand in it somewhere. If we have a lot of money in the safe, we have been known to split it equally between agents.
