I've been watching and following "American Idol" on Fox network and it's down to nine contestants, one of which is "Carrie Underwood", who has perfect pitch, a crystal clear voice, & by far is the best singer of all. However, the following three contestants are great too, Bo Bice and Anware, and Constatine. By the way Carrie Underwood is from Oklahoma, which is where I was born and raised, so it would be special if she won. I hope it's OK to post this thread and have a discussion as to whom we all like. On by the way, it airs again, next Tuesday night at 7pm. Go Carrie Underwood.

What do you all think about Simon? I think he's 100% right on in his opinion of each singer, but he's a bit too harsh with his comments. Oh yes, how many heard the young men sing on Oprah this week, that Simon selected and brought together from all over the world, who are a young version of the Tenors? My spouse and I were wowed by them. They were outstanding.

I like Carrie Underwood ,gorgeous voice but I have to go for Bo Bice....he is my favorite. Altho I do think Carrie will win it, my opinion, but I still am rooting for Bo!

I like Simon...ofcourse, I also havent been on the other side of his harsh words lol and dont plan on it but I think he isnt really a bad guy, he just says what he thinks and most people dont like them types of people. He says what everyone would LIKE to say lol I think he is a cutey and he is a big brat! I do think he could soften his words a bit tho...I feel so sorry for some of them people he talks to, even if he is right most of the time.

I did watch Oprah and saw them group of guys sing.....I dont particularly care for that type of music but they did have awesome voices!! I liked that song tho..."Unbreak My Heart" ....great tune!

Il Divo (the group) are absolutely awsome. I get goosebumps every time I hear them!!

As anyone who has been involved in acting, dancing or singing at any level, proffessional or otherwise will know. you hear a lot worse and have to pick yourself up and move on. And sometimes, Simon comes up with these coments to spur people on. He is a good judge of character and knows when he can say that and the next week the person's performance could be brilliant. And really, some of the people who go on Pop Idol and X factor must know they can't sing. What do they expect?

Well, I suppose as the saying goes "The truth Hurts". It's better to tell it like it is, than to lead them on. Paula is a sweetheart, but gives too much praise, however, that's just her nature and she means it. I've heard her tell contestants at auditions how horrible they are though..lol. I got a kick out of Simon's remarks on Oprah about the most horrible part of American Idol is sitting through all the auditions...lol. I'd hate to audition for him...lol. He's dead on and I appreicate his honesty. The contestants repects him for it and I feel it's more important what he thinks about their performances. I feel sorry for many of the contestants who thinks they can sing, and I'm amazed at how many are tone deaf, or whatever their problem is. Thanks girls for sharing the name of group and song. I'm going to purchase it when in the stores.

Ben, Texan likes Bo too. He's such a natural on stage and can sing anything. It seems this year, these contestants are all great and anyone of them could be our next winner, except the blonde, tall and slender guy,(Anthony??), I think he'll be voted off next or Scott.
