Which would be more helpful?

I've saved up a few points again and now I'd like opinions on which skill would be more helpful. Hair analysis, handwriting analysis, footprint or research?
I have all the tough skills that don't come from a faction plus thread and advanced thread. I know what hair, handwriting and footprint do for you. I don't know what research does for you or how helpful it is compared to the others.

Are we talking adv hair, or just hair?
If you don't already have regular hair analysis, get that.

Jojo is correct. Take any basic evidence skill (that allows you to see evidence at a crime scene) that you don't already have. If you already have all of them, take one of the advanced ones or research. I would recommend research, as it helps you knock a person with a false or no alibi off your list immediately, and it always works.

I wonder if I told my real life hairdresser that I wanted "advanced hair"....what kind of hair cut would I get? For that matter what if I asked for "just hair." lol
