Would love the sidebar option one vote here.
Agency Directors should have the ability to view all agents stats. and skills EX.-Cases Quit, Cases Solved, False Accusations and Det. skills this would help with agency goals and directing the group as a whole in common direction. Only for their own agents , once agent leaves so goes the accessability. Any takers???

Hmmm but what about, a history showing up in what agencies a detective has been in?
I often get questions, "Do you know person X, she has been in a agency but refuses to say which one, and her PM asking me to join just weirded me out." Up on investigation, every person that I know that refused or claimed to not remember which agency they'd been in...most of the time it turns out they have been up to no good.

That sounds like a much better idea to me. That way it would show what agencies people have been in, and whether or not they are changing a lot.

Or...if they won't tell you...just don't hire them...

Exactly sweets. Not only changing a lot. But some agencies are less active or more active then others. And if someone leaves an agency, or gets kicked, it can be related to that. Or other reasons. The thing is cfm I can not even ask the question, if I can not even see if they have been in another agency. They can simply say "no I have not been in another agency." Or say they have been in 1 agency, instead of 10.
I get a lot of reference type questions from many directors "Do you know so and so?" Sometimes I know which agency they have been in and refer the question to someone else. Most of the time I really don't know.

I really don't understand the opposition here. It surprises me. People have more to hide then I thought. I know I have nothing to hide, and therefore couldn't care less what shows up on my detective page.

Well, I see this as someone going behind my back to find out something that (in most cases) I'd be happy to tell if asked.

If there was actual, real spendable cash on the line I could understand all the fuss. If an agency recieved real money that was divided between each member then of course you'd want to know something about who you hired on and I'd be the first one calling for a way to find out.

But since we don't play for real cash I guess I just don't see what all the fuss is about. If someone seems ok when you hire them then turns out to be a jerk...kick um out. If you check on a person who was kicked out of your agency, and you see on their detecive page that they've joined another agency...message the director of the agency with a friendly warning "hey, just thought you should know so-n-so was kicked out of my agency for being a jerk-off so you might want to keep an eye on him/her".

If you're really worried about taking in a new agent, then don't toss out invitations like party favors. If someone want's to join your agency...take a week and message people at other agencies, ask them if they know the person, ask if they know anything about the person. Then hire at your own risk based on what you've found out.

Even though the money is not real, it still effects the agency. Money is used not only to pay the rent, but also for hunts, cases, and get rid of false accusations. People can try to take all the money, or not pull their weight in hunts(for those hunting). So it really is important.

I am soooo sorry ichiban that that happened to you. And I hate for that have happened to you, right at the time I was talking about it in your thread no less. This is exactly what I meant.
Please don't let it put you off. And if you want to join an agency, that knows what that feels like, just let me know.

Everyone is worried about agents having something to hide that might be worth knowing to the director of and agency. But lets say that the person you are looking to hire has been to a few agencies. Your solution is to basically check their references. So you talk to the director of a few agencies and hear all sorts of stuff about this prospective agent. Now, any director will take another directors word over the word of a detective looking to become involved in an agency. Because of course this prospective agent is going to say things to make them look good. And your mind is made up! What if this person left the agency because of unfair dealings? What if the director of the agency was the problem? Now you have taken a directors word as gold because they are a "DIRECTOR" and dismissed someone who has done nothing wrong and is doing nothing more than looking to be a part of a decent agency. Lets face it, you will not catch a director saying "Yeah so & so left because i was stealing their cases and then talking bad about them behind their back to the other Director". Everyone is just assuming that every director out there does nothing wrong and speaks only the truth...and if an agent has left an agency (or more than one) then they must be up to no good. That just is not always the case. I agree with Peter.Hire them and if you are unhappy then boot em! Just because someone is a director, doesnt make them right!
