Who becomes your contact

Can you influence who becomes your contact by turning down favors from one person and always doing favors for another?

Like never doing anything for the music teacher and always doing something for the butcher? Will the butcher then have better odds of becoming your contact?

Is one person better than another to have as a contact?

Yes, you can determine who you get as contact by quitting favours for those you don't want and only completing favours for those you're interested in - BUT(!!) it will most likely take a bit (sometimes even a lot) more time to get them, as chances do seem to increase with every favour completed.

As for one person being better than another, it's difficult to say. Being a mainly charming person myself, I tend to do quite a bit better on charming the men around town whereas the women aren't as cooperative, especially the ones who take easier to interrogation. So yes, I'd probably say that for my character type it would be good to get all female contacts. As for other combinations, especially the tough ones, I don't know if it works better the other way aroun, i.e. for a tough female detective to have male contacts?

Oh, and you get 1 physical evidence contact and 1 witness contact in each city, so no need to try to get two physicals, because it can't be done anymore ;)

if u have almost all smart skills but 1 it could be usefull to have that as your contact. Also some agencies ask their ppl to concentrate on certain contacts in order to have them all around the agency.
