I've been wondering if there's any "Impossible Cases", that actually gives the full amount of money stated at the beginning of the case. Ever since the impossible cases were added, I've never received the full amount, but instead I get a special reward/gift always worth $1000, cash if sold. One would think we'd have the choice of keeping the gift or taking the full amount in cash, but it's not that big of a loss...lol. Either way I'm happy with the hardest level of cases recently added. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU BEN for adding the impossible cases. This has really helped add experience points more quickly. Oh yes, the favors are a more challenging, and hunting for the suspects in hiding keeps things interesting. Anyway, not complaining, just curious. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to get out of Sleuthville USA and sail to another country someday. Hey, that rhymed...lol. Happy Sleuthing everyone.

I noticed starting today that it does tell in the end what I get now. Thanx Ben

Didn't mean to fib, but now there's really a mystery...lol, or my eyes are playing tricks on me...lol. OK, I opened & posted my three cases for tonight, which showed "Speical" as the reward. I then logged out and signed in under Goldfinger. As I posted Goldie's cases I noticed that my three under DaRu no longer showed a "Sprecial Reward", but a cash amount, however, Goldfinger's posted as Special. Then I left and signed back in as DaRu, to check Goldfinger's cases I just posted as Special and noted that they showed a cash reward instead of special, and my cases showed special instead of the cash amount. Only the agent looking at his own cases can see Speical under the reward, and all other cases will show cash rewards. So, the mystery continues...hehe.

By the way, as you stated Madame TBird, it states Speical now as we open and post them so it doesn't matter. Oh I do love this game.

Ben, I finally won a case where the client was guilty, and I won the cash amount in the sum of $1170, instead of the special reward/$1000. The case first posted as a Speical Reward, but while checking alibis by other agents, it showed a cash amount of $1170, which was what I received when I won it (by having the pick pocket skill of course). I emptied my funds into the safe before accusing to make sure.

Haha DaRu! :D

Actually I can't open those yet (yeah I know what a newbie, I'm getting there :D) but when I've been in our agency's case files and seen those it's always a cash amount. Maybe somehow the game knows how much you'd get from your client if they were guilty and shows that instead of Special or whatever...?

From what I've been able to find so far, it seems that if you view your own case files, they're registered as "Special", but if you see someone else's they're listed with the sum instead :)

Hey, sorry to bring back a 3 month old post(I'm only just wading through all the old posts), but it seems now that they're all listed as special whether your own cases or a team mates'. I'd like to add, though, that I've been selling my gifts at anything from $1000 up to $4800, not just the $1000 everyone mentioned.
