Lauranator, if you join an agency and participate in treasure hunts, you'll be able to use use safe cracking in treasure hunts that have keys.
The skill enables you to crack the safe holding the treasure when the agency has collected all but one of the keys.
However, this is not a high priority skill for a newer player, and it's not useful at all if you aren't in an agency.
