Very Charming

I screwed up and checked off very charming when what I wanted was smart and charming. My problem is that after 19 cases I still haven't received any charming clothes....everything has been smart and tough. Should I just change my skills to fit the smart category? Or just keep hoping?

Feeley, a good option is to subscribe and join an agency where you can swap clothes with others in the equipment locker.

Everyone needs smart skills, eventually, but it is good to focus on either tough or charming in the beginning, and if you've started with charming, then I say stick with it. Eventually the gear will come through favors or you can save up to buy it.

Subscribing is the best way to go, though - you can't get any better than agency life!

You can also buy some charming cloth.

Thanks, I subscribed a few months ago but found that I couldn't be on as often as the agency that I was in wanted.

Its frustrating when you get the wrong stuff, but as Reda said, you can sell the wrong stuff, and buy better gear. The Detective shop has some cheap charm gear (a worn coat, a pocket watch or such) that will get you started. You may as well sell the tough gear as soon as you get it, its useless except for its cash value.
Get rid of Cosa Nostra and go for Dies Arcanum or even socrates, LCN has NO charm gear. When you get some cash, you can pick up things at Lucy's but they are pretty pricy.
Finally, you will get charm gear sooner or later. Keep getting your charm skills (though smart skills are good too) - you will need them sooner rather than later.

Feeley, my agency (Behind Closed Doors), among others, is very mellow about how often one signs on. So if you want to subscribe again, let us know and we'll invite you in....
